There's a lot of weird forced stuff in this game that I wish didn't exist. Give us a choice, for fuck's sake! The developer needs to do this to future files, but in the meantime, do this for yourself.
So is there a setting somewhere in the game files you can change to change some of the verbiage in the game? I know of one game where you can change a setting to make all the "Roommate" references change to "Sister" or "friend" it is odd that you call Marcus your roommate since you don't live together and all the "Landlady" references to "Mother" or something similar.
I am not into the incest thing but I prefer it to "Landlady" as no one really talks like that lol. Agreed, the wording totally throws you off and actually makes it a little unclear if the person is referring to Sister or Brother, plus your friend is called the same thing "Room mate".
It really takes you out of the experience. How to do when we are using vaccum cleaner and landlady is in front of tv , where to click to go further. At the top of the screen where there is a list of places to visit, there is an arrow icon on the far right that you need to click to show the coffee house where you need to visit Marcus.
If all you have done is vacuum your room then there are still other events you can do before visiting Marcus; you can click on the landlady to sit down and watch TV and you can visit Alice's room to initiate the bikini shopping event then both her and landlady will be on the Terrace where you can choose which one you want to lather with suntan lotion. All of those events can be done prior to visiting Marcus, but other events are suggested even prohibited before visiting Marcus.
The library is to the right of the coffee house at the top of the screen. You don't get to the room where she is on the sofa without vacuuming your room. It's not an event, it just shows a vacuum and then the next screen you are in the front room and she is on the couch. Like I said, you can click on her to start the tv event, or go to Alice's room by clicking the room at the top of the screen. You can go to the patio once again, one of the rooms at the top of the screen then the cafe to meet Marcus by clicking the arrow on the top right of the screen to pan through the rooms.
I see the comment thread here isn't super active but hoping someone can help me. I've been playing the android version and at some point while playing, all the buttons at the side skip text, save game, load game, etc are gone and I can't get them back. I've been playing pretty much my entire afternoon without being able to save. There were a few times early on where I messed up and had to play from my last save file, but most of it has been smooth sailing from there.
But, I am worried that there's still the option to mess up and lose all my progress. Any suggestions on how to get those buttons back so I can save my game again? I am on PC and haven't had that happen. Do you have the option to make the game "windowed" on droid?
I would assume not but if so I would try to switch to see if they show up. I am not sure how it works on this game because as I said, I am on PC, but have you tried some of the swipe commands that are in other games? I know that some games let you access the menu by swiping slowly left then right, or maybe right then left. And to hide the HUD it was swipe up then down or down then up, might try that.
Really just a hail marry but I thought I would at least mention it as I know how frustrating it can be when a game you enjoy doesn't do what it is supposed to do. I take it from your comment that you are able to access the main menu when you load up the game, have you checked out the "Help" page if you have one because it may show you the command to hide the user interface as mine does on PC. Well I downloaded some version of it and I'm on android But no, when I click to open the app, it goes to saying "reloading game" immediately, so I'm unable to access the main menu at all.
And the swipe commands suggested don't seem to be doing anything either. I did also try switching to the "windowed" version the last time I could access the menu and nothing changed.
Hopefully I just won't mess up anymore and risk losing my progress, or maybe the save option will show up again eventually. I would definitely pay for a full game, but was very sad at ending so short. Best game like this I've played so far. Downloaded the mac version today. Unzipped the package no problem. However, the program won't start. Cam you remove the landlady parts but either having the player have the ability to change how people are addressed in the settings or by se code like new family?
